WHY LAU LIE MARTIAL ARTS AND WELLNESS
Our classes promote
mind and body wellness

By nurturing and using internal energy through practical techniques and application, the body and spirit is trained to develop a quality lifestyle of vitality and longevity with healthy benefits.
Classes are offered at a monthly rate of $175.
Three core classes are offered:
Qigong
The term literally means energy work. At its essence, Qigong trains in the use of energy rather than muscles to move the body. Combining physical movements as well as mind and breathing exercises, energy is directed to flow within the body.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a mind/body/spirit workout embodying a series of mental and physical exercise to tone and generate energy within the body – popularly called moving meditation. Practice of these slow-motion movements or postures encourages circulation, flexibility and vitality. The depth of this practice connects to its roots as a martial arts.
Meditation
At the root of meditation is the belief that connectivity and community are vital for health and healing. Physical, emotional and spiritual wellness are explored by drawing from differing sects of meditation techniques.

“Tai chi does not mean oriental wisdom or something exotic. It is the wisdom of your own senses, your own mind and body together as one process.”
— Chungliang Al Huang
“There is no mystique to Tai Chi Chuan. What is difficult is the perseverance. It took me ten years to discover my chi, but thirty years to learn how to use it. Once you see the benefit, you won't want to stop.”
— Ma Yueliang
